Commercial Buildings
ONE FIRM FOR ALL YOUR BUILDING NEEDS
Commercial Buildings have the potential to make significant and multifaceted contributions to the life of a city. As critical community assets for public convening, these projects foreground functionality, access, and resilience. Our transdisciplinary approach combines architecture, urban design, landscape, interior design, environmental graphics, and public art to create future-ready elements of cultural urban infrastructure.
This is LEED Gold Certified office tenant improvement project that included a new 42,000-square-foot headquarters for the TTG Engineers in Pasadena, CA. This design enhances staff productivity by maximizing spatial efficiency with work stations placed along the office perimeter, drawing in ample natural light mixed with overhead smart lighting. An open office layout makes collaboration easy among the company’s engineers. Additionally, the private offices are enclosed in glass walls to enhance the flow of natural light. ADC developed a cost-effective project -- from design through construction -- through extensive planning, preparation, and design collaboration with the entire engineering and construction team.
This project required a renovation of a 50-room, 24,000-square foot motel. The existing building was a boxy and utilitarian-looking three-story building with almost no architectural features. As the property is in a desirable area close to the annual Rose Bowl Game and Rose Bowl – as well as Occidental College – the hotel has the advantage of generating year-round occupancy. ADC’s challenge was to develop a more upscale, resort-like look and feel to attract in-town and out-of-town guests to increase occupancy. This project also included renovation of its public lobby with a new check-in counter, lighting, floor and other finishes.
