SRD processes Silicon Carbide (SiC) epitaxy — the material that supplants power electronics components in hybrid electric cars and the electric grid.  The company’s one-story, 9,000-square foot R&D facility in Lake Forest, CA, is the first in the country.  The innovative 1,600-SF clean room is the building’s central feature.  ADC converted a warehouse into a production facility that fully supports the operations of today’s value leader in the power electronics industry. The intricacy of the entire facility’s design — the movement and interchange of gases, liquids, and temperatures connected to multiple layers of equipment — was achieved by ADC’s design-build process.
